Lifeline 24 is proud to be an independent, affordable provider of personal alarm systems across the UK and the Republic of Ireland.
We are an independent company who are not connected to any council providers. This means that we can offer our customers the most affordable prices and the highest quality of service. We know how much of a struggle money can be for the elderly, with costly bills and food prices.
Our Personal Alarm Systems have been specifically designed and priced for the elderly and disabled and today we will explain a little bit more about the device and how much you can expect to pay here at LifeConnect24.
Personal Alarm Systems
Our personal alarm system comes in two parts; The Lifeline Vi Alarm base unit and the stylish MyAmie Pendant. The base unit plugs into your telephone socket and a power socket – with your telephone then going into the back of the device.
The MyAmie Pendant can be worn around the wrist or neck, with both attachments included inside the box. The pendant has been designed to be as comfortable as possible, whilst being nice and discreet so that the user can keep it on when they pop out to the shops.
The pendant also has the following features:
- A range of 100m – So that you can wear it throughout the house and the garden
- Waterproof – So that you can wear it in the bath and shower
- 7-year battery life – A free replacement will be sent once we are notified that it is running low
- 869MHz European Social Alarm frequency – So that it won’t interfere with any other medical equipment in your home.
The base unit can connect to more than one pendant, so you can keep a spare in your house. Alternatively you and your partner can both wear a pendant – connected to the same base unit.
How it works
If you are feeling unwell or have a fall in your home then all you need to is press the red button on your pendant or base unit. This sends an alert message to our 24/7, TSA Accredited Response Team who will respond immediately by trying to speak with you over the base unit loudspeaker.
After assessing the situation the Response Team will then get in touch with your emergency contacts. These usually consist of family members, close friends and neighbours who can get to your home quickly. You select your emergency contacts during the ordering and set-up process.
The Response Team will also contact the emergency services if they are required. They will also have a copy of your medical records to pass on to the paramedics.
The Response Team will be around all year round and they are always happy to hear from you so please don’t panic if you press your red button by mistake. We advise that you test your pendant at least once a month to ensure the system is working correctly.
Cost
Our personal alarm is available on three different price plans. We offer you the chance to pay for the alarm on a Monthly, Annual or Lifetime Plan and we advise that you select the option that is most suited to your financial situation.
The monthly plan costs just £12.49 per month, with the first three months paid upfront alongside a new customer fee of £35. The annual plan will cost you £128 – giving you two months free – alongside the £35 new customer fee.
A third option is the unique Lifetime Plan which consists of a one-off payment of £699, plus the £35 new customer fee. With the Lifetime Plan you will not pay another penny for the personal alarm, no matter how long you keep it for. It could be five years, 10 years or 25 years – you will not pay anything else.
