There is an exciting addition to our life-saving personal alarm service coming shortly. The Tunstall Sound Boost takes our already excellent personal alarm base unit and makes it even better. Read on to learn a little more about this upcoming product.
Tunstall Sound Boost
The Tunstall Sound Boost is a portable speaker device which connects to the Lifeline Vi Alarm. Tunstall are a British manufacture of Telecare equipment, including our current personal alarm unit and pendant button.
Looks wise, the Sound Boost is similar to entertainment-based speakers such as Google Home and Amazon Echo. Alongside the speaker, the Tunstall Sound Boost also has a built-in microphone. This device will connect to your existing personal alarm unit, and allows for even more security in your home. The speaker and built-in microphone allows for clear, crisp communication between you and the Response Team.
Alongside the base unit in your living room or hallway, you can place the Sound Boost in the bathroom or bedroom. If you’re living in a larger home, you could have multiple Sound Boost’s located around the house.
Having the Tunstall Sound Boost is particularly useful if you suffer from hearing problems or have a large home. It means that if you suffer a fall in the bathroom or a room really far from your base unit, you will still be able to speak with and hear our Response Team.
Of course, currently if our team don’t hear a response from you they would firstly call your telephone to see if you respond. If they have no response they would call your emergency contacts and explain that your alarm has been pressed but that nobody is responding. If an emergency contact cannot get to you quickly, they will also call the emergency services.
