Emergency contacts play a vital role in our life-saving personal alarm service, so it’s important to think carefully when choosing yours. The people you select will be contacted by our Response Team in an emergency.

Your Emergency Contacts

After purchasing your Personal Alarm, you will instantly receive a New Customer Form to complete. On this short and simple form, you will be able to select your emergency contacts.

Commonly, our alarm users select family members, close friends and/or neighbours to be their emergency contacts. It’s strongly advised that you choose people who live reasonably close to you – so that they can get to your home quickly if needed.

You can change or update your list of emergency contacts at any point. Simply call our friendly team and they’ll be able to make any changes for you.

What happens When I Press My Pendant?

When you press your pendant, whether you’ve had a fall or you’re feeling unwell, our Response Team will receive an alert call. A member of the team will reply via the loudspeaker on your alarm’s base unit.

They will speak with you and assess the situation before taking appropriate action. This is when they will begin calling your emergency contacts. They’ll start at the top of your list and work their way down until they get a response.

Once connected, the Response Team will inform your emergency contacts that you have had a fall at home and require urgent assistance. Without an alarm, your family, friends and neighbours would have no idea that something bad had happened to you.

If the Response Team are unable to reach any of your emergency contacts, they will automatically call for the emergency services. Should you need medical help because of your fall, the Response Team will call for the emergency services alongside your emergency contacts.

If you have shared any medical information with us, the Response Team will pass it on to the paramedics so that they are in the best possible position to help you once they arrive.
